FAQ
Here are answers to some of our most commonly asked questions as young independent filmmakers !
"What equipment do you use?"
For several years we shot our projects using a Canon T7i DSLR. Since then, we've transitioned first to a Sony A7 III DSLR and now to an A7S III.
Our drone is a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom. For most shots we use a pair of Ronin-S gimbals and a 4K Feelworld daylight monitor. Additionally, we often employ up to four GVM LED lights.
Our audio system consists of a Zoom H6 handheld recorder, a pair of RODE Wireless GO II lavalier mics, a shotgun mic/boom pole combination, and an occasional camera-mounted RODE shotgun mic.
For our TikTok content we typically shoot with an iPhone SE.
"When and where will 'Water Under the Bridge' be available to watch?"
"Water Under the Bridge" is currently available for pre-order on Vimeo On Demand. It will be available for purchase on Vimeo On Demand this Halloween: October 31st, 2021.
"How did you guys start making films together?
Most of us met one another in high school and had prior interest in film and the arts. Many of us started as avid readers or fervent writers. Our love for film is the one thing we all undoubtedly share.
"Where can I watch your movies?"
The films we produced over the past several years under the names "Ham & Huff Productions," "Backstreet Cinematics," and "1716 Digital" can mostly be found on our YouTube channel.
Our latest production "Water Under the Bridge" will be releasing October 31st, 2021, on Vimeo On Demand.
Other productions we've worked on, such as "Dear Rosa" and "The Waters of Ruthersville" will be released on platforms TBA by their respective distributors.
"Can I act in your films?"/"How can I get involved?"
Upon entering pre-production, we will hold casting calls for our projects. Follow us across our various social media pages to catch the next one and submit an audition to us.
However, we are more likely to reach out to you prior to a casting call if you send us your resume, headshot, reel, and general contact information via email to 1716digital@gmail.com.
This also applies to individuals interested in participating in our projects as musicians, graphic artists, etc.
