My Story
Filmmaking has always been an important outlet for self-expression for me, especially growing up as a young Asian-American in rural Virginia. I was still in high school at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic when I started posting about my film endeavors on TikTok. The 1716 Digital platform gave me the opportunity to connect with thousands of like-minded artists and storytellers who inspired me to pursue a career in the film industry.
My passion lies in the horror and coming-of-age genres and I especially love the opportunity to work with fellow AAPI artists. I consider myself a strong proponent for worker's rights, both within the film industry and otherwise, and an advocate for everyone to get involved in their local politics. To relax I like to lift weights, play guitar, and spend time with my orange tabby Edward.
I expect to graduate in 2025 from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking where I'm studying to receive a BFA in Filmmaking with a concentration in Producing. I'm currently in post-production for several projects, most notably the independent feature-length narrative films "Space Cowboy" and "Days of August."
